With a Criminal Law and Advocacy background, Sonia Powazuk brings her years of experience and personal integrity to Long Legal.
Providing legal and non-legal services for the disabled and other disadvantaged groups for over 20 years, Sonia has the ability to negotiate whilst remaining calm and compassionate.
As the Senior Advocate for the Disability Advocacy NSW, Sonia led a team of fifteen and made her mark on the legal community through this role. She then moved into Criminal Law where she acted in the District Court, Local Court and NCAT Tribunals.
As a respected educator, author and public speaker, Sonia has presented educational programs and conference presentations to the wider community. She also had published a comprehensive guide for parents and advocates in relation to the NSW education system. “A Parents Toolkit: School Issues for Students with a Disability” (www.da.org.au/publications/resources).
